In stillness we simply observe life
I believe we are all given pieces to the puzzle of truth. If we acknowledge that everyone has something of value to offer, when we interact we do so with a new awareness. When we believe that we are gifts to each other our antennas reach out further and adjust themselves so that they can pick up the truth of the moment. Even when someone is painful to be around it teaches us at the very least, how to not use that as an example in our own lives. If we however take it a step further, we may come to understand that only those in pain inflict pain, for how could it be otherwise? We give what we are, therefore the cantankerous are cantankerous within as well as without. This person deserves a prayer, not our scorn.
Many of us are accustomed to always judging situations as good or not good, people as attractive or not attractive and circumstances as nice or not nice. In reality, we needn't be constant judges to learn and be ever aware of our surroundings. We can cultivate the habit of simply observing life and allowing it to be without the need to over label everything. There is more gray in life than there is absolute right or wrong. Much of what we say is right has been taught to us by others and is not innately one or the other in and of itself. When we let go of allowing our thinking to not only observe but go that extra step and judge an experience what we are doing is helping ourselves to remain flexible and pliable. When we observe life, we become masters at filing experiences. We don't make as many conclusions instead we file it away until there is enough data that the puzzle completes itself. When we judge, however, what we are saying is- "I have concluded that this is this, or that this is that and there is no need to revisit this experience, end of story! This is how we become fixed in our ways, which most of us loathe in others.
We want to always grow and see the world with eyes that expect to be amazed by the wondrous life that we have been gifted with. Letting go of our judgmental nature helps us to remain child-like but wise as well. We remain childlike because we acknowledge that we are not suitable judges- only spirit can inform the flesh and not vice versa, and this truth that we make pitiful judges is only made by a soul gifted with wisdom. Do yourself a favor and live life more joyful and with more freedom by learning how to flow and rest in the wisdom of your Inner Self.
We are all the same...
November 30, 2013
There really are no villains in this life, only those who instead of gently helping us to grow force us to. And we do the same to others even if we don't know it. We may think, "I am a loving person, I never hurt others, at least not intentionally." But when you don't forgive because you have been hurt, you may be wounding another very deeply. Think of it like this, that person who wounded you, may not have known how to respond to you in any other way. Some weren't taught to love and give in the same fashion as us. When you decide to cut someone from your life, or when you stop talking to them, to you this is not wounding them for you are not acting against them, you are simply withdrawing. Yet that may hurt just as deeply as if you had acted against them.
Is this to say we must keep everyone in our lives, and we must never break ties with others? No, there are some people we must forgive at a distance because in some way they are too toxic to share at close proximity. But we all hurt each other, we all fall short, and we all betray. Some of us hurt and betray more than others, this is true, but who's counting? When we are all guilty, degrees don't matter. We are all the same, and when we accept this fully, we aren't wounded quite as deeply as before, and we don't wound others quite the way we did before either.

Creativity vs. Knowing
What can we rely upon using our senses? There is a grand hoax that has existed almost as long as man has observed and written down his thoughts, and that is the idea that we should believe only what we can see, hear or touch. But why has believing what we can see, hear or touch been deemed as so reasonable? Can we, after all, believe that the sky is resting upon the mountain top as it appears, can we believe a man is good because he smiles and appears to be, can we believe this relationship is forever because we love, can we even believe what we feel is love? If we can not believe what we see and feel is true, why do so many of us do it? We are told not to judge by appearances but to "judge righteously". In other words, who is righteous but the Creator of Life, and who can judge but She? If you have not received confirmation from the highest of All, then you can not know even one thing, is what this quote means to relay.
There are actually very few things we can know through observation. You may say, I can see that a cup is sitting on the table, but the cup is actually molecules, the cup is not solid, and even it is sitting upon an energy field, which too, is not solid. You may say I see that you are human, but I would say, no, I am spirit, spirit using this body of flesh to live for a while in this place you call earth. I am not saying there is nothing you can not know through observation, but I am saying there is very, very little you can know. I am saying there is so little you can know through observation that the way humans use the mind to observe the world must be incorrect. It seems to me, we are not to go through life trying to "know" things, or worse, thinking we do. Instead, I believe we are meant to go through life saying- "what if" and "maybe so, maybe not..." We must observe life, this we can not cease, but taking our observations a step further and stepping into the territory of knowing is the business of a God.
I have come to the conclusion it is better to take a page from the life of a scientist and develop theories that we expect will change and stretch as time and wisdom expands. If we say "what if" more and "maybe so, maybe not" we are leaving the door open for divine wisdom to speak and clarify that which we do not know. Even more, Instead of knowing, we would do better to concentrate on being creators. If we could focus more on being creators the main purpose of our lives would be to, moment by moment, create our personal experience. We would meet someone and then we would attempt to create something with them, we don't know where it will lead to, but we use our spiritual ethics and resources to create something good. We would secure a job and then endeavor to use this job to express something deep within us. We don't know if this job will reach the depths of our being and nourish that part of us, but we use our spiritual resources to see what we can gleam from this activity. When we find ourselves in conflict with another, we can not say that this conflict is primarily a lesson for us or primarily a lesson for the other. We can not say that they are mean or nice, or good or bad, for we are not beings who have "knowing". We can say that we like the lesson or that we don't like the lesson, this, we can do for sure. But perhaps the most important task at hand is to attempt to create the highest good from this interaction, we endeavor to learn something that renders us stronger, or we offer kindness in the face of such negativity, that we offer the other a chance to be touched, changed and renewed. Perhaps we are simply always to be about the business of creating. To do this, we must be free, free spirited, free thinking and free of "knowing". Living like this would force us to commune with a Higher Source, in fact, perhaps the entire purpose for pretending to "know" so much is so that we don't have to depend on anything outside of oursevles~

Living at Full Throttle...
We are like glorified computers, in that we were created to process life and operate by interacting with it. So if you aren't outputting 100% then you are wasting a moment of your purpose. So here is how living at 100% soul integrity looks like: If you are interested in someone, they should at least know that you are intrigued and open to them. If you are a writer, then you should be writing and intending to publish, if you are a dancer, then you should be dancing or learning to dance. If you want to be a better person, you should be accepting more responsibility for your feelings and actions, in other words, be the change you wish to see. If you want to say "hello" then hello should be coming out of your mouth.
If you are at the gym, you should be giving it all you have in that moment, even if your 100% is only 50% of what your moments usually feel like... If you want to change your body shape, you should know how to do it, and then like Nike says- do it. If you feel, then feel, if you are sad, then experience it and intend to move on, and if you can't, then accept that. Give everything 100% even if that 100% is surrendering to the 100% you thought was going to be something else. You are a co-creator with your Higher Self and if what you intend does not manifest there is a reason. Either your Higher Self couldn't create "through" you because you didn't plant the seeds of that intention or you planted the seeds and time or your lack of belief have not yielded roots deep enough for your Higher Self to "flesh it out". Perhaps however, what you intended just wasn't good enough for what you really deserve... All I am saying is this- Live at full throttle!
The Inner Self's Perspective
November 15, 2013
When we begin to really notice the vague differences between being the outer self and sensing the inner self, the vagueness begins to become less pronounced. I suppose how what was vague loses its subtlety is different for everyone, but that we come to sense the inner Self more, is a universal experience for everyone on the spiritual path.
Some people experience life more through their auditory sense than their visual, some experience life more prominently kinesthetically. How you come to know your inner Self better can depend on how you experience life. For me, what I began to sense is that the life I was experiencing as my own was actually entertainment. In other words, it's not real, like a play, it can be altered, edited or a scene can be wiped out altogether. My inner Self is the Self sitting in the movie theater looking at its outer counterpart as it makes its choices and moves from one screen to another. The inner Self has the power to become the director if the character on the screen, namely you, finds a way to look outward and notice in whatever way is natural to you, that your inner counterpart is sitting in the theater watching you watch It- if that makes any sense. When that moment happens, it's like magic. It's Snow White being kissed and waking up, it's the moment in the matrix where Neo begins to believe, it's that biblical scene where Thomas, after having been told that Jesus was raised from the dead, doubtingly touches the sword wound and finds blood. It's huge, is what I am saying.
When you realize that there is another you, checking you out, and that It has absolute power over the movie, you then learn to move aside and let It direct the show. Let me change that, it's not you moving to the side, it's your Inner Self whispering the directions to you, the actor, to move to the side. You move to the side but you may not know why, only the director knows. You only know how to tell your legs to bend, straighten, and get from here to there.
When you allow the inner Self to run the show you realize that everything you think is just the trailer's that you see when you go to the movies. It's not the movie you came to see, it's not the important part, it's really only a little entertainment before the masterpiece. The only thoughts that are important are the ones the Inner Self gives to you. The only thing that is important is when the Inner Self says, "Yes, this is good for you, go for it!" Or, "Yes, you are right, fight for this, or let it go, because I will fight it for you." These kinds of thoughts are called confirmations; any thought that doesn't come through confirmed, is just entertainment, something the brain needs to do to pass time. For, what else is your brain going to do 23 ½ hours of the day when you don't hear, can't hear, or don't have the time to hear your Inner counterpart? The brain has to do something, so it observes and talks about what it is observing, this, this is what you call thinking, but really, you are only observing your movie and other people's movies. And more to the point, you are only observing all this through your particular lens, like the lens of a woman, or the lens of someone considered a minority. What this means is you are missing nearly every detail that is seen through the lens of someone other than you, unless you have learned how to see through the eyes of other people. This is called empathy, but even if you are empathic, you still miss so much of how other people construct and interpret life.
These thoughts, that are truly observations made by an organ we call the brain, is what you and everyone else has used to construct the world you exist in. These thoughts which are merely observations are not truths. When you build your life from the truths you receive from you inner Self, your life becomes a masterpiece. It is a life where every possible good thing that could occur, does, because the inner Self was created for this job, it is after all, a genius at directing and creating life.
Imagination: The Creator's Womb
November 26, 2013
The imagination is that psychological element within us all, which is rarely paid attention to, and given even less respect than the acknowledgment received. In fact, in school, it is that place where children go, but are told not to. How many have heard a teacher telling a student to stop day dreaming? If you haven't heard this personally, you have no doubt heard of it occurring. Even as an adult you are reprimanded for having a "wild imagination", or for "living too much in your head".
But think on this- the imagination may very well be the only place worth visiting. The imagination may be the place within us which like a womb, gestates life and gives it form and thus existence. The imagination may be the place where "gods" go to create worlds that one day, become external. Just like a baby lives first within, gaining strength and mass so that it can exist in the world we all recognize. The womb of a woman may be the physical twin to the inner mind, the noncorporeal vessel, called the imagination.
Think of these phrases and ask yourself what do they have in common, and where does the activity these phrases refer to, exist? "As you sow, so shall you reap", "As your faith, so be it unto you", "As a man thinketh, so is He", "Your faith can only take you as far as your vision allows." I ask you, where do you sow if not in your imagination, where does your faith live, except in a place that believes in what it can not see or touch? And where does a man think, where is the mind, in other words, for the mind is not the organ we call the brain? And lastly, where does the vision of life reside? All of these activities are the activity of the imagination. That place that sees what no human sight rests upon, that place that hears what no earthly ears record, this is the realm of the imagination. It is the realm where "gods" create, large or small, good or bad, for this place judges not, it is the womb that gives birth in spite of the infirmitites cast into its mold. The imagination is the non-corporeal womb that gestates images, thoughts and feelings and just like an embryo grows with the multiplying of billions of cells, so do your images, thoughts and feelings accumulate what is needed to become externalized into the world of form.
The secret to creating, is to feel it is already so. This is called faith; you must feel something is so, to have faith in it, for if you do not feel it, you can not believe it. When you think of whatever it is you want to experience, you must find a way to feel this thing, you must see in your mind that you have this that you want, and sense how you would feel to have this thing, this achievement, this state or what have you. When you feel the experience of having, you are allowing your imagination to flesh out your vision. The more you feel that you have attained this thing, the greater the depth of feeling that it lives somewhere in some place beyond the external. When the feeling becomes ecstatic, you know that the imagination is heavily impregnated. The time of its birth, however, is for the Universe to determine~

Being Known by the Universe
The Universe is alive, the breeze that blows across your face carries the Spirit that knows you, the air you inhale is filled with the Life that recognizes you. You are surrounded by the unseen Life that hears you, feels you and knows your name. There are times when we wonder if God senses us, if we are personal to Her, but surely God has an infinitely keener awareness than we, and if we know God exists, surely she must have a consciousness of us that is millions of time more aware than our consciousness of Her.

The Mind of flesh, the Mind of Spirit
One of the reasons our journey towards understanding life takes longer than most of us would like is due to the mind of the flesh, the carnal mind as it can be called. The mind of the flesh can never become the mind of the mystic. For those who desire transcendence, the mind of the mystic must become so full, it eclipses the carnal mind. Otherwise, the carnal mind will constantly de-mystify the spiritual experience.
Think of a spiritual experience, a miracle even. Do you recall what was the likely result after you had the experience? What often happens is that the mind of the flesh says it was your imagination, it didn’t really happen, or it didn’t really happen that way. Sometimes you’ve had so many spiritual experiences you now know these things did happen, so now the carnal mind will simply minimize and lessen the impact.
This does not happen because there is necessarily a force out to get you. The reason this happens is more about math than that of a malevolent force. The journey to transcendence is about releasing limiting beliefs and replacing them with infinite ones until there is more in your spiritual account than in the account of the flesh.

Impersonalizing Negativity as a Path to Love...
The path to spirituality is about finding higher and higher ways to understand the path we are on and how to successfully get from one experience to another experience of a higher vibration... The lowest level of seeing life is to see everyone as the cause of your problems. There is no power at this level because others have to change in order for you to be happy and if they don't change, you remain a victim of your own making. The next level is to understand that you play a part in the issue that challenges you. You have more power at this level, because when you change how you think or act, your personal world changes as well and you are now a creator... The next level is to understand that your issue is not about the other person or even you. It is about how you and your soul is processing the energy that has become part of your experience. When you get to this level there is no condemnation of the other, there is only a relationship between you and the energy- the energy that is challenging you. When you focus only on the energy you become a source of love as the other person becomes irrelevant in a uplifting, detached way because your mind is concentrated on how to make peace with or release this incongruent energy. You remain peaceful towards this person or the situation, and as you master this, you become an example of how to rise above chaos and disruptive energy~

A Balm From Heaven
Your Higher Self says... I have come to give you relief, to let you know that your life before you were born was known, and the Universe still said 'yes' to your creation... I have come to let you know that there is more you can become, more joy waiting for you, that health and peace are within your reach. I have people that are waiting to love you, and others who will be changed by your love. I know that life can be confusing, but it is meant to be fun... I know that life can appear to be a riddle, but WE thought you'd quite like that.... My apologies if you have misinterpreted, but now that you know, let's soar to higher grounds, and by the way ~I Love You More Than Words Can Say...

Daring to Define Yourself...
Inside every woman is an inner Goddess~ a part of her that is its own beauty, a beauty defined by Itself and not by society. It is creative, sensual, bold and fierce.... And inside every man is an inner Divinity, a part of him that is strong enough to feel life, mighty enough to share his true self and confident enough to define manhood not according to society, but by his own radiant intellect~ Be true to yourself, dare to change your life by creating your own personal definition of "You".

Those who can not bear your beauty
There are people out there who are so misaligned that they actually despise the beauty in you, and the beauty you express. It is hard not to take them personally, but in truth, they simply can not bear to allow the Presence of God into their lives, and so seeing God in you, and in the way you express your life causes them to want to crush or destroy it.... They are hoping that their anger, their pettiness and meanness towards you will cause you to retreat within yourself and stop projecting your awesome beauty.... Never let them win, and if you can, even pray that their hearts can be pierced and thus healed by the Divine.

Changing our perspective about life's problems
Problems, they are unavoidable and simply appear to be intrinsically a part of life. But by the same token, problems often feel very uncomfortable and even stressful. Many of you try to find ways to get around problems and believe that there is something outside of you that can make the problems go away or at the very least, minimize their stress on your lives.
One of the first things you can do to view problems differently is to stop using the word "problem" and instead exchange that for the word "challenge". When you look at problems as challenges you are automatically giving yourselves the message that there is a solution and that solution calls for you to do something, to be proactive, to participate in manner that is active. Once you live with calling problems challenges for a while, you will find that you no longer feel so much like a victim and instead you feel more empowered. It is true, you are empowered, and it is you that released this power to yourself by changing how you see things.
Another thing you can do to feel better about your challenges is to really understand that it is you that gives yourself power and not something outside yourself. Many think that if only they could make more money, or be rich they'd have no problems, or they feel if they lost weight they'd be free of their troubles. While increasing your income is usually a very good thing, as is losing weight, you have to notice that there are many rich, normal sized people who have committed suicide. So, what you need to really take note of is this: your mind is the control panel. Your mind is your computer, and if it has a bug in it there is nothing outside of it that can make things better. Instead, you have to go inside the computer and make it better by clearing out the virus or the bug.
Your mind thinks thoughts, which generate emotions. This is the equation that you must accept and believe if you want to ever change how challenges and life in general affect you. Your thoughts generate chemical responses in your body that match the kind of thoughts you are having. Positive thoughts release positive chemicals that tend to support calmness and feelings of well being, while at the same time, they support your health and immune system. Negative thoughts tend to leave you feeling upset or sad and they slowly harm the body. Learning to monitor and change your thoughts is one of the most important skills you can ever learn and there are many techniques that can help you with this. Look up self hypnosis or learn to write your own affirmations. Another technique is to write down your goals, the way you want to think or the way you'd like to view life, and then post them somewhere that you will notice on a daily basis.
Changing is a subtle process. You won't feel yourself changing for the most part. It's just like lifting weights in the gym. You don't feel yourself growing stronger, you simply pick up the weight that seemed so heavy in the past and notice that you no longer struggle in the same way. As you learn to change your thoughts, you will also learn how to trust yourself more and how to trust life more. This is also a subtle process, but if you set aside time in your day to reflect on your life, you will find that like your muscles that grow strong from working on them, so are you gaining mastery over life and its challenges.

Get Back to Bliss....
We have two minds and there is nothing we can do about it. If you realize you have two minds, then you have an advantage over the majority of the human race that knows only one. One mind chooses to look outward, and in looking outward, only believes what it sees, hears and feels. The other mind is the creative consciousness, the divine, the all knowing intelligence, the one that knows how to turn goals and dreams into fleshed out forms. Your surface mind is the body of water that the creative mind, the wave, moves into new and greater experiences of existence. Your surface mind has thoughts, but that's just entertainment. The creative consciousness has knowing- and that's what counts.
If you think about the creative mind enough, it will become real even though it must remain murky, for it is mystical, beyond comprehension, it is not material or form, so it will never be something you can touch. Get over this and accept it. The real you is unknowable-period. When this other you becomes real, the next step is to keep giving your life to it. Stop thinking in other words. Well, you won't stop thinking, but stop thinking your thinking means anything. Until you get the "knowing", or inspiration, the confirmation from the real you, all those thoughts are just entertainment, no different than a really cool movie. But don't take your thinking seriously, is the point. Any thought you have that is dynamic, comes from the other you. Any thought that you have that is genius, comes from this other you. Any thought that is negative has no power unless you give it power. When the negative thoughts come, say thanks, but no thanks, no longer interested in calling myself fat, or stupid, or weak, or calling other people idiots or lazy good for nothing- whatever. Don't even fight these thoughts, just say, thanks but I'm moving on. Say this over and over if you have to. You are the boss and sooner or later, they get the message.
So here is your assignment, every situation that comes your way that is bigger than you can handle, give it to your other self. The surface you will say, "Hey, I can do this", but keep giving it to your other self every time the surface you gets behind the steering wheel. Soon you will get accustomed to having two minds, soon you will notice the dance they do and it will be easy to keep giving your life, your goals, your relationships, your whatever to the other you. This life was supposed to be fun, change the story if it's not and get back to bliss.

Being You...
Be in awe of your own life by letting go of definitions that are limiting. When you let go of definitions, you become the undefined and your thoughts about what is possible expand. It is said that we have 20-70 thousand thoughts per day. Change one thought and you change your inner matrix. Change many thoughts and watch the trajectory of your life begin to soar into new territory.
You are the undefined and free by nature and when you offer the same to others much of the fighting and ego driven behaviors fall away. You find your life becoming spacious and enlightening in the sense that you are in awe of how it moves and changes and evolves. You find your life to be much more peaceful when you let go of definitions and the energy of the ego. When you release definitions the inner restrictions melt away. Releasing definitions is not the same as not having connections with places and people. Releasing definitions only means that there is more space between you and those people and things that you like. In other words, you aren't what you like; you are the individual that does the liking. You can love the country where you were born, admire its architecture, its glorious hills and expansive skies without having to be enslaved to its cultural identity. You are not a gender, only a being inside of a gender specific body, neither are you a color, or a political affiliation. When you are not part of a tribe, a cult, a group or a click of some kind, all the arguing comes to a halt and the fighting in your life and the world suddenly ceases to be. When your inner restrictions melt away you are less defensive and self-conscious. What would life be like, if you were simply YOU?

The Roots Beneath the Soil
Many times we are what we aspire to before we feel its reality. We are often brave before we feel our fearlessness, loveable before we feel our self acceptance, brilliant before we sense our genius and successful before we feel accomplished. We also tend to have more intuition and wisdom than the behaviors and actions we portray. The reason for this, is that we emanate from a Higher Self, a higher mind that is always radiating through us and into the world. Why isn't this clear and obvious is because this radiance, this higher energy is obscured by our looking outward instead of inward. We are focused on how we feel instead of focused on the inner whispering of our Soul. We are focused on how we don't see the fruits of our dreams and goals, instead of focused on the roots that are beneath the soil of reality, growing deeper and stronger so that they can break through to the surface we call Life.
Feelings are not always barometers of what is real. In fact, feelings are often your inner self communicating to you about what you believe to be real. Your inner self uses your emotions to pose a question to you. The question posed by your emotions is this: "Is this really what you choose Life to feel like?"
