The Search for God:

Blog 7/8/14

We are as fish in search of water. We swim and dive in and out of our surroundings wondering where is God? Where is the Intelligence that created all? Where is the Holy Grail that, once found, grants all wishes good and magnificent? Yes, we are like fish, surrounded by the Intelligence that manages a Universe that is endless, that organizes the movement of Celestial bodies, and that gives life to stars that are more plentiful than the pebbles of sands on all our beaches.

We are moving and breathing in the Holy Grail that manifests our deepest beliefs and then projects them onto the screen called our awareness. It's only that we need to acknowledge this obvious truth. Obvious in that sense that, certainly we must exist inside that which created all, for there could be no borders, there could be no existence "outside" of that which is ALL. Yes? Yes, you say, of course! We must live within the ALL, for ALL means just that- "All". There is no outside of All-ness. And so we are in God, within God, and all about us must be sacred- therefore. Yes, we are swimming within splendor, we are moving about in between and through the exquisite invisible light of IT's love, intelligence and activity. Now let's talk about IT's love, intelligence and activity.

The creator must love in a fashion that differs from our love, for Sun's go nova, galaxies collide and loved ones die. Love must be akin to evolution or transcendence, the notion that all of IT's creations must change, merge, and transcend to become ever new creations. But the newly created must by nature be, better than or more complex or more splendid than the previous creation. Just as the egg and sperm are exquisite in their own right, but not as complex as the multiplying of cells that is soon to occur and that ultimately creates a life that can then with its intellect, marvel at the beauty of the egg and sperm that it once was.  So to the creator, Love must be the movement toward more magnificence. This is not such a bad thought, for health is more magnificent than illness, an illness that does not teach the mind and spirit to expand.  Surely abundance displays more elegance than impoverishment. A keen intellect must be more radiant than a dull one, and giving to self and others, more beautiful than the act of stinginess. We love like the creator when our actions make something more, expansive or abundant as opposed to our actions imposing imprisonment.

The intelligence of the creator is absolute. IT understands all parts and pieces and how to maintain and sustain them in perfect order. If we surrender our lives to its Intelligence, our lives would have to become increasingly organized and perfect. Surrendering to perfection and order must be akin to adding a plethora of equations using our own mind, or turning over the expansive mathematics to a computer.

The creator is always active, for it is alive. So it must, every moment of the day, always be moving its creations, like the galaxies that are moving apart from each other faster than the speed of light. Whatever we submit to the Creator, must become part of IT's activity, IT's intelligence and IT's loving Spirit. What we surrender then, is moved by the Creator, organized and finding all that is necessary for the perfection of that which we surrendered. And though we may not see the actions and organizing power of God, neither do we see the inner workings of a computer that go amiss by us as we sit staring at its screen.

The question as to how much do we involve ourselves in our own lives and how much do we surrender is the dance of life and perhaps what was meant to be the most joyful of interactions between us and the Creator Herself. This was meant to be a joyful co-creative act. But as we look around, it is clear that we have elevated ourselves to be the sole creator, and the evidence of our skill is found on the battle fields of our wars, the wards of our hospitals, in the land and sea where our animals lay dead, and within the turmoil of our broken homes.

Thinking vs. The Complacent:

Blog 6/9/14

Some of us can learn from almost anything. We have minds that are hungry and without much effort, we are curious and we learn, every day, sometimes many times throughout day. We observe the changing seasons and somehow this encourages us to realize that we too can change. Some may watch children at play and seeing their joy, realize that a mind that is focused in the 'now' is incapable of remaining stuck in anger or pain. We're that person that just doesn't understand what people mean when they say, "Wow, you really think a lot". Think a lot? I hadn't noticed. I guess I was too busy enjoying the mysteries of life unfolding to notice the wheels inside my head churning. Or, how about this comment, "You're really deep." To the person that is supposedly deep, what the others who aren't deep don't realize is that, it only took one, maybe two or three thoughts to get to what they are calling deep. In fact, we don't even know it's deep. We are too busy just being who we are to analyze it, which is curious. The other person who is accusing us of thinking so much and of being deep, is doing a whole lot of thinking too. It's just not the type of thinking that profits their lives. Well, anyway, some of us are just naturally philosophical, just as others are musically inclined, or athletic. No one says to the musician, "Wow, there were a lot of notes in that solo you banged out!" Or maybe they do. But here's what I say- "just enjoy it or don't. Live for once and feel it, or let the experience shift something inside you instead of counting my thoughts or his guitar riffs."

But let's face it, there are those who seem to almost not think at all. Oh sure, they have thoughts about wanting to have a cold beer and relax in front of the TV. Or they have thoughts about how that movie actor must have had plastic surgery. But is this thinking or reacting; reacting for instance, to internal emotions? Well, even if this is thinking, then perhaps I would distinguish it from what I am attempting to relay and say, "But it is not "creative" thinking."

Creative thinking leads to a shift in understanding or a deepening of some aspect of life. It changes you, for the better. And once more, it is cumulative. I can liken it to a puzzle and even say that creative thinking can take the individual to ideas about life that are totally unexpected.

Those of us who can learn from anything don't generally mind learning from each other, either. Sure, we don't want someone thinking they are a know-it-all and preach to us about every detail of our lives. But those of us who love to learn, usually don't mind someone sharing their thoughts that they feel might profit us. People who are creative thinkers, I predict, would actually appreciate suggestions, as long as the person isn't addicted to giving them. No one enjoys another person's compulsive behaviors no matter how well intended. But then there are those who get angry or offended by any suggestion that someone offers. They scoff at it, throw it away and generally give the impression that what the other offered was as insignificant as that piece of trash they just threw into the can by the door. This type of person doesn't appreciate suggestions or knowledge and I believe it is because they have a limited self-awareness. They don't think they need any advice because in their state of denial, they have it all figured out. People with a limited awareness only see but so far. That makes sense right? Hence the word limited, which would suggest an experience of impoverishment in some fashion. In any event, their limited knowledge fills up that space called their 'perception' simply because their perception is restricted. Nevertheless, it seems to fill up that space quite to their liking. This is why they resent someone telling them that there might be another way to see something. To them, this is crazy nonsense because their world is so small that whatever it is that they do know, fills it up! But take someone with an expansive awareness. Their perception is a very different animal indeed. For they see a horizon that is so far from their knowledge base, they realize they need more skills, more insights and more wisdom to traverse that landscape. And this is why they can look up at the clouds covering the sun and realize that behind any challenge, like the sun hidden from view, is some kind of brilliance waiting to be revealed.

You see, everything inside them wants to absorb as much as possible, because their awareness is ravenous. It's ravenous because the vastness of their consciousness must, and does, require food and nourishment that is proportionate to its dimensions. So, the next time you offer a bit of friendly advice and find that it is received with a roll of the eyes and a sigh, you don't have to feel unappreciated. Just realize that for them, ignorance is truly bliss, and no pun is intended.

Judge Not by Appearances:

Blog 5/26/14

We have all heard or read this quote, surely many times throughout our lives. For some of us we would love to embrace it, but well, it's really tough when someone is screaming at you giving the appearance that it is about you, but in actuality, it's not. It's hard when our lover breaks off an engagement and says of the reason, "It's me, not you." For others, appearances not being a reality just doesn't make sense. That is until you ask them to stand on a railroad platform and explain why as they look further down the tracks seem to join together. You can ask them if this is a reality. Do the tracks really come together at some point? They will answer no, and never comprehend that this is Life giving them a hint at how things really work. Now we take this nonbeliever to Yellowstone Park and we point upward towards the mountain, Eagle Peak which sits so majestically amongst the wildlife and the greenness of the bush. We ask our nonbeliever if they see how the sky sits upon the mountain's peak. And they marvel with a lovely smile and say, yes, yes they see it. And now we ask, so... "Is the sky really sitting upon the summit, for I thought the heavens were a bit higher in altitude than that." And they look at us strangely and tell us, "No, the sky is not sitting upon the peak, it only looks that way."

It only looks that way, but it is not so. This is how all of life is. Nothing is how it appears all of the time for here where we live, all things perish. "Why does thou callest me good? There is none good but the Father above." This is biblical, but perhaps we can find something similar in the Koran, in Buddhist's texts and Hindu literature. I would highly suspect there to be something akin to this deflection of attributing qualities to the "flesh" in every body of spiritual knowledge known to us. So, you are saying, "Okay, okay, I get it. But tell me how this is? How can you say that I am not struggling financially, how can you say she doesn't have cancer, how can you say there isn't hate in the world? How?!"

The answer is that we are created in the image of our Creator.  This should not be surprising as creations must always be reflections of their source.  We are creators and with our freewill, we see, hear and build that which we believe to be true.  We are no different than the schizophrenic who we see having an animated conversation with someone whom they see, but whom we can not. We live in a world where we are not to judge because what we are judging is not Life, but ourselves. We are judging our interpretation of life and consequently projecting our hopes and fears onto the screen. Disease is not real, poverty is not real, greed is not real, broken relationships, depression, anger, bad luck, prejudice, race, age- none of these things are real. We created them, and we gave them life with the little "L". This little "L" designation is what makes it merely an appearance.

These kinds of truths, divinations and interpretations of the ultimate truth must be meditated on. Constantly. This is most often, or for most of us, not the kind of revelation that you get fully and completely upon a first or second read and then find your life altered. However, practicing how to think and how to believe, which itself is an art form, is what changes the inner landscape of our minds. And as we sow higher understandings, the weeds are removed from the roots, and little by little we create an Eden of the Mind.

Ushering in the New Mind:

Blog 5/21/14

Every now and then in our lives, we are challenged by something that strikes us or someone we love, deeply. There are many challenges we can face, some are spiritual, and some are manmade, but in either case, we need to be armed with truth in order to be victorious.

So, what we are faced with as humans is a mixed identity. We are both human and Divine. We are challenged, and when those battles occur we have two responses, one human and one Divine. I am beginning to see the beauty of the human response though I aspire to fully embrace my Divinity. I am beginning to realize that the world would have been a waste of God's time if when we go through trials and tribulations, we, like a patron of the movies, knew without effort that this war was not real. If without having to work for or seek our miracle, we could instead, like the movie goer, simply rise from our seat and walk out, what would we have learned except that the exit was not to the left of the popcorn counter, but to the right?

So in God's wisdom, She gave us emotions. Emotions we are to transcend. She gave us free will. Freewill we opt to release in exchange for submission. Submission we desperately run toward once we've been "whipped" to enough of a pulp by life. And she gave us an awareness; an awareness that we must dial back toward the channel of Divine. It is this last part that I want to speak to; ushering our awareness back toward the channel of Divine. You see, we are brainwashed. We think we will lose money more easily than find it. Yes? We think we will find more liars in a crowd than the righteously sincere and more cheaters than the faithful. We believe more in illness than in healing, that more will be poor than rich, more unlucky than lucky. Yes, what a lovely state of mind the world offers us, and though I am being facetious , more of us are lost to the world, than lost in bliss. But what I want to say about this is- this is natural. So don't sweat it. It is part of the blessing of being to enjoy a world that appears real. For what level of mastery would a God possess, if reality was not substantially intricate enough to be believable? What kind of God would She be if we could, like Dorothy in the wizard of Oz, so easily peel back the curtain and see the real thing? No, God, She is amazing. God is beyond our ability to comprehend. We are ants, lovely ants, I dare say, trying to learn to play chess. But unlike ants, we actually stand a chance at comprehending the Divine game, the Divine laws, because, and this is exceptional, we are the Divine as well.

And so we go through our great challenges feeling them in only the way that we can. But after the human side of us gets to squeal at the images on the movie screen, the Divine has to get its turn. We can allow our Divinity to rise above the screen of life by acknowledging that only Its reality is the real deal. Only the Divine creates that which is eternal, and any circumstance that is temporary is simply a very convincing storyline. This world and all that it offers is a plot that engages us but is temporary because all emotions shift, all diseases find themselves finally cured, all states of mind eventually expand, and all bad luck ultimately runs out. You see, the Spirit/Divine is always in the driver's seat, but like a mother carrying a fetus, we are playing a game of two, and the Divine has no need to take over where it is not wanted, adored, or appreciated. It won't behave like an ego and push you to the side showing you arrogantly how the "big boys" do it. No, we have to seek our Divine, Woo it with our hearts and minds, reminding ourselves to embrace its truths day in and day out, staying in prayer ceaselessly until we get that feeling inside of us, that sense of relief, that knowing that knows and knows and knows, that the Divine is back, 'big and bad' as ever it was, at our request, at our beckoning. And then with relief we breathe in deeply, take a step back and allow God/Spirit/Universe to pull back the curtain and show us the canvass that declares the brilliance of a Reality that the temporary can never challenge, alter or even come close to touching!

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self: Blog

5/2/14   As it is above, so it is below

We have been told that we already have all that we desire. We have been told this in many ways. Yeshua/Jesus commanded us to realize that the "Kingdom of God is within." He urged also, "ask and you shall receive." Modern spiritual literature says that within us are all possibilities and we must learn how to release the splendor. Yes, we know this, but do we believe it? We want to believe, that much is for sure. Who wouldn't want to believe that love, health, abundance, great emotions, balanced life styles- and all else, wasn't already within? Of course we would embrace this. But it just doesn't seem, well, to put it frankly, reasonable.

One of the first things we must come to terms with is that mankind has gotten the whole "how to think" paradigm, wrong. If you've read my blogs before, you will know that I urge myself and you as well to let go of the idea that we can 'know' anything. We are explorers of infinitudes. Okay, let me say this again- we are explorers of infinitudes. Before I explain that, do you sense where I'm going with this? How can our human finite minds conceptualize infinity, right? Okay, now you're beginning to get where I am coming from. What we can do, however is observe patterns. This is what scientists do, and the scientific way of perceiving life is far healthier than how most of us humans are exploring it. Scientists say, "This is the theory we have so far..." They may even say, "There was a big bang." But they haven't stopped there- they continue exploring this big bang idea, even though they feel very sure that it occurred. There is evidence for it, in other words. There is radiation out there in space that suggests a wonderfully, inconceivably violent explosion. And then there's the fact that galaxies are moving, from having begun at one place, to more than trillions upon trillions of miles away, from what place? Oh yeah, from ground zero, from the event horizon, or that coordinate where a wonderfully, inconceivably violent explosion occurred. What does this have to do with us having all that we desire within us? You think I have divested, but I haven't.

So, being an explorer of life, I was exploring a show about the Universe, and the commentator discussed the big bang. As he discussed that there was a microscopic spec beyond the visibility of the eye, simultaneously there was an animated recreation of the event- which was awesome by the way. And so you see this spec, and then it glows with intense heat until it explodes and ripples outward at millions of miles per second. I would like you to visualize this colorful explosion that ripples out, creating space as it does so, creating the Universe, no less, as the power of creation expands what was nothing, into what is everything... Here is what the commentator said that made my Higher Self begin to converse with me. The commentator said, "This microscopic spec, this element of infinite smallness, contained all of the matter that is now the Universe." I paraphrased that, by the way. But this spec of nothingness contained in it, what is now a Universe that literally has countless stars, and billions upon trillions of planets. This spec that was invisible contained infinite space, it contained you and me, and our home, the Milky Way.

My Higher Self then began to speak to me, and said, "Your nature must be like that from which you came. You too must contain all that is needed for your life in this moment. And all that you desire, that you cannot see, must be as alive as every sun and moon that lived in the invisibility of that spec of seemingly emptiness." I didn't have to ask for clarification. Everything for my life, is everything for my life, meaning health, that great love affair I've been waiting for- like forever! There is a part of me that contains perfect balance, a state where money is no longer an issue, a home near a beach that isn't plagued with hurricanes.... Wonderfully written books that are loved by the millions, the ability to speak to an audience with a focused mind, and a sense of humor. Okay, so you get it, right? I am all of this now. And this is what Yeshua and Buddha, and all those lovely people like Wayne Dyer, Joel Goldsmith and Neville Goddard and on and on, this is what they have been telling us. But do you get it now? Do you realize now how erroneous is the entire concept that reality must conform to a logic that to the human mind is reasonable? Our entire idea of what is reasonable is skewed, limited and without the necessary element of mysticism and divine majesty. For if you believe in this theory of the Big Bang, which for me does not preclude God or a loving intelligence having been the instigator of this event, you can now, if you choose, embrace that "As it is above, so it is below." For we are that spec of unseen fulfillment that becomes the fulfillment of infinite desire.

4/23/14 Practical Spirituality

Though many people use religious and biblical verses to shame and guilt each other into more harmonious behaviors, not all religious themes attempt to sway their readers by instilling fear. In fact, Yeshua or Jesus as we know him, used practical common sense to lead people to higher conclusions. And now when we look at his words, we can see scientific proof that these "higher" behaviors are actually healthier for us than "lower" ones. As an example, he urged us to forgive, and now many of us understand that forgiving others is healthier for our bodies than holding onto anger and scorn. In a post by Dr. Darius Homi Umirgar M.D. (A.M.) titled Thought Releases Chemicals in the Brain' states that...every time you have a thought, your brain releases chemicals. Every time you have an angry, unkind, sad or cranky thought, you brain releases negative chemical that activate your deep limbic system and make your body feel bad. Yeshua urged us to not judge others and now many of us understand that what we see or notice in others, we must first notice in ourselves or how else would it ever orbit our awareness? Yeshua urged us to be kind to one another. And now we know that being kind to others can help lessen feelings of depression, because the act of kindness releases serotonin into our systems.

So here is the point: Maybe we have missed the entire point with our fascination with what will cast us into hell. Maybe much of the bible that uses non-judgment to point out what is positive and loving in us was not meant to scare us as much as it was meant to help us live healthy contented lives. No matter what the reasons though, loving behaviors release chemicals that tend nourish our bodies and maintain health. So, if for no reason other than this, we might want to make loving ourselves and others, a daily habit.

The Hoax of Perfectionism...

Fear is only a specter it is only an illusion that had you fooled for all these years. What fear is saying is that you will be hurt and you are not protected, so stay away from this experience. When you let go of needing to be perfect what you are saying to fear is that falling short no longer hurts, it is no longer humiliating or the cause of shame, therefore you need no protection, so now you are saying 'yes' to this experience as well as any others that you choose to embrace.

In addition to embracing your perfect state of imperfection, when you embrace everyone else's imperfections you allow others to fall short, in fact you can even expect them to fall short. Imagine that- living life expecting people to be imperfect? How many arguments vanish, how many sleepless nights simply fade away when you awaken from the hoax of human perfection? There's no more "I thought you said this or that, and now you are saying something different..." No, you would now expect a person to change their mind, or to forget that they haven't changed their minds. Perhaps it does not make it less annoying when we accept the others imperfections, but the trajectory for an argument changes directions, doesn't it? Now the conversation is more about how you feel, and not about the others fall from grace.

Another gift to letting go of the hoax of perfectionism occurs when you are accused of saying the wrong thing by someone who has no doubt, at some point, done the same. Instead of arguing or feeling guilty, you accept it, even if in that moment you just happen to be right. Why accept this, you ask? And, why argue the obvious, would be my answer. When you are made not to fit in, when you are laughed at with a mean spirit, those who have made you feel unwelcomed have themselves felt unwelcomed by others, and those who would laugh have themselves been ridiculed. And it is very likely, that you were the culprit of these same acts towards someone else at some point in your life even if only in the privacy of your own thoughts.

All misaligned behaviors are simply recycled from one person to another. No one is innocent but as long as you are playing the game that everyone has to be perfect, you will find yourselves taking turns at being the judge and the defendant until you decide to drop the rules and the game along with it. Why do you want to drop the game and comes to terms with your imperfections? Well, first of all, it's reality, and if you really want to claim that you're in touch, then here's your chance. The second reason, and believe me, there are many reasons, but the second motivation to embrace your imperfections is because not embracing you has you in knots. Seriously, you may not know it, but that ache in your back, that headache, that underlying sense of anxiety you feel all the time? Yes, chances are, that's due to that nail gripping hold you have onto that illusion called 'perfection'.

For this New Year, one of your resolutions might be this- to be okay with not always getting 'it' right, to be okay with loosing an argument. In fact, you can be even magnanimous and encourage within you, the philosophy that when you are wrong and the other is right, what a gift you are offering. "Whoa" you say, this is going a bit far. Okay, well, just so you'll know, that's your ego talking, and you might want to let go of it as well, because it is not your friend despite how many times it has told you how it '"has your back." Letting go of the ego is another topic, another blog in itself, and lest I become sidetracked, I let it go. But what I would like to say is this; you are exquisite just as you are. And though self development is the most intriguing pursuit that I know, any pursuit no matter how lofty needs always, a healthy dose of balance. ~

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self

Blog 4/12/14: Lost in the Moment

So, you are a Soul. Okay, you know that already, but you have some questions still. If I am a soul, why am I struggling? Why am I having a difficult time here? If I am a soul, aren't I supposed to be almost omnipotent, doesn't it say somewhere that I was to have dominion over this world and all the creatures upon it? What went wrong? You ask.

I use analogies and metaphors to explain things. It makes it, for me at least, not only interesting, but it adds a two punch delivery. You get the truth and you get an image or a feeling to go along with it. So let's begin again. You are a Soul. I've read and believe this- Souls choose to incarnate here on earth to explore and create so that it can enjoy and learn lessons. Souls are energy, and we are flesh, so the Soul fashions this outfit of flesh and explores this world and its dynamics. But there's a little glitch, the flesh has its own awareness, and more importantly, the flesh has evolved something called an ego. Ouch. Yeah, the ego is that part of you that is exclusively pointed outward. It has little concern with the inner stuff. Meditation, doing good for others, turning the other cheek- these things to the ego are jokes. So the Soul has its own challenges- and that is trying to talk to the ego, which is impossible because the Soul is on the inside of you and the ego has no interest in looking inward.

Now you are beginning to understand why life is sometimes no bowl of cherries. Here's where you fit in, you are in between the ego and the Soul. You are Mom trying to figure out how to support Dad and cater to the child at the same time. Most of us ignore Dad and cater to the child, the child being the ego in this instance. But Dad, the Soul, in this example doesn't get upset. Dad just goes to his man cave and has a blast entertaining himself with his own projects. Yes, the Soul has more to do than just create experiences on this realm. So when we ignore it, it learns that lesson but simply goes back to its own life- the life of energy and creation. Now I can't say what this is, though I wish I could. I only know that life is infinite and that there's way more to existence than what we're doing here on earth. So the Soul does whatever Souls do when they are ignored by their other halves, their wives, the flesh, the other self, however you'd like to phrase it.

So if your life isn't going as well as you'd like, it's because you keep choosing to side with the child instead of your 'partner'. You will have to ask yourself why you're making this choice and what benefits you are deriving from it. When you understand that, the next thing you do is get out the scales and weigh the options and the possibilities. Some will always choose siding with the ego, but others will, after weighing their choices, decide that the Soul offers a destiny that is too good to refuse.

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self:  Be The Change

Blog 4/4/14:

The truth is, the entire world is a community. We are a community that learns from one another. We learn on purpose and we learn incidentally. Most of what you do fits into one of two categories, the category of helping the world evolve, or causing the world to de-evolve. Your kindness can change the way someone looks at life because in that we are always teaching one another, you have just taught a lesson that comes from the heart, and the heart is a powerful thing to affect in oneself or another. Your fairness can restore someone's belief in mankind and when you are compassionate, you may be healing years of negligence and heartlessness in another by causing them to suspect that maybe, just maybe they are worthy of good, worthy of love and capable of really being someone special.

Here's the reality: No one is perfect and we all have areas where we are dark and twisted from- oh yes, the pain that someone inflicted upon us, thereby teaching us how to do it unto others. Yes, what a shame that lesson got its chance on the stage, and well, what a shame we are keeping it in the spotlight. But no matter how vigilant you are, there will always be crevices within your consciousness that are in the shadows. So here's my point- those areas within you that are kind, that are exceptionally thoughtful- share that with the world. Share what good you have with the world and in this area, be the good teacher. Be the change you were meant to be in those few or multitude of areas. That's the point of this blog today. That which is good in you is that which you should be giving out in generous doses, because that is your Godhood, that is your particular divinity, that specific talent of yours that is most like the Goddess of Life and Love. So no more laboring over the shadows- we all have them. But what good you do possess, please share a bit of it every day. Be the change be the good teacher, and every day, share your brilliance and your radiance as only you can. Today, for just one moment, or two- be the change.

Free Falling Into  Your Higher Self: The Sacred Breath

Blog: 3/25/14

Breathing- most of don't even think about it and if we do, we think of it as something only important because it's what sustains life. But one day we will have a new culture. It will be a culture that understands breath to be far more than the airy substance that we breathe.

What is breath and what is so special about it, you may ask? I would first answer it by saying that breath is not just special- it is sacred. In the Aramaic language breath and spirit are one and the same. Think on that a moment. Imagine fully accepting that breath and spirit are one. If we allowed this concept to become part of our daily lives, we would constantly realize that we were merging with God through our respiration, consuming God, bringing God into our very experience both physically, mentally and of course spiritually. Just that realization alone could revolutionize our society, the culture we live in and how we view life and each other. We would look around and see God everywhere. We would no longer believe that churches, synagogues and temples held God; instead we would see it the other way around. God being the very air permeates every stone in those buildings and so God holds them in place. More importantly, there would be no need to feel walking into a building is what made those services sacred. In fact, since God is the breath that makes every Imam, every Rabbi and Minister's words possible, it wouldn't even be their words that were sacred but instead the breath that gave them life. Every breeze would be ecstatic, there would be meaning in the wind, as though God were embracing us, every tree that swayed and every leaf that trembled in its wake would to us look like the shivering of joy, and perhaps we might smile and for a moment be at one with nature.

Accepting that breathing and spirit were the same we would come to understand why deep breathing relaxes us, and why breathing slowly changes our brains waves, causing that organ to operate on deeper and healthier levels. It would make sense to us why it is that when we take a deep breath the anger goes away, but conversely, why that same deep breath during sex causes our joy to explode into ecstasy. Accepting this concept of spirit and breath we would finally understand how breathing slowly through meditation reverses the effects of stress on our bodies and minds, how it releases just the hormones and chemicals that support our immune system and how it also has the potential to alleviate or lessen high blood pressure, anxiety, asthma, diabetes, aging, depression... the list could go on for quite a while. We would, however, come to understand why the breath heals for we would understand that it is after all, God.

Why Live Big?...

Why live big? Because when you're old enough to die, and are doing so gracefully, upon your death bed, mind you, you will look back and wished you had. Why live big? Because there is this thing called "fear" and damn it if you're going to let it bully you into being small. Why live big? Because there's no other way for a child of the Universe/God/Goddess to live! Why live big? Because there's unseen nectar out there, and you only get to taste it when you are bold enough to reach for it.

Live big for all those unevolved people out there who abused you, bullied you, told you were nothing, and for them, just for them, your gift is to turn all that pain, into a big ole gift as proof of their irrelevance! Live big because you've been told that you have a Soul, and just to find out, you'll live so big, that if it's there, it has to come out and play along side you!

Live big because you only live once, live big because you're worth it, live big because the rest of nature does. There aren't 100 stars in the sky, neither a million stars nor even a billion... There are more stars than sand on all our beaches. Live big because it takes over 800,000,000 years to zoom through our galaxy to reach the other side, and because there are 125 billion of those out there in the Universe. In other words, what I'm trying to say is that "Living Big" is the new sexy.

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self

Be Awed by You...

2/16/14: blog

Be in awe of your own life by letting go of definitions that are limiting. When you let go of definitions, you become the undefined and your thoughts about what is possible expand. It is said that we have 20-70 thousand thoughts per day. Change one thought and you change your inner matrix. Change many thoughts and watch the trajectory of your life begin to soar into new territory.

You are the undefined and free by nature and when you offer the same to others much of the fighting and ego driven behaviors fall away. You find your life becoming spacious and enlightening in the sense that you are in awe of how it moves and changes and evolves. You find your life to be much more peaceful when you let go of definitions and the energy of the ego. When you release definitions the inner restrictions melt away. Releasing definitions is not the same as not having connections with places and people. Releasing definitions only means that there is more space between you and those people and things that you like. In other words, you aren't what you like; you are the individual that does the liking. You can love the country where you were born, admire its architecture, its glorious hills and expansive skies without having to be enslaved to its cultural identity. You are not a gender, only a being inside of a gender specific body, neither are you a color, or a political affiliation. When you are not part of a tribe, a cult, a group or a click of some kind, all the arguing comes to a halt and the fighting in your life and the world suddenly ceases to be. When your inner restrictions melt away you are less defensive and self-conscious. What would life be like, if you were simply YOU?

A mere mustard seed...

You will find your joy at the edge of your dreams, at the border of your aspirations, at the fringes of that which incites your passion. We worry, yes; we worry that we won't be successful. I worry too, currently at the edge of my most passionate ambition I wonder this- if I should fail, this is it, there's nothing next. If I should fail, the curtains are lowered, for I have lived only to find the edge of the most sacred cliff.  And forged with trust earned from all other escapades I am prepared to jump to my new birth. This is the most precious of my desires. What would I do next, should this not come to fruition? Then I hear an inner voice, a comforting inspiration from my mighty inner companion. The entire Universe conspires to engineer your success, She/He says.

"For the Universe adores the sky not with one shade of blue, but a rainbow of blues, pinks and the most exquisite hues of lavenders. Why not you as well? For the Universe blushes with false modesty at the heavens pregnant with stars, no, suns, suns that could hold thousands of earths in their most exceptional and fiery bellies. Why not you as well? For the Universe enjoys success, excess, brilliance, resilience, overflowing with decadent artistry, mastery. Why not you as well? Could it be," my exquisite inner companion whispers, "the Universe would choose you amongst the billions upon billions upon billions of creations, to cast upon disappointing mediocrity? For even if the Universe chose you amongst all its other creations," my companion continues, "to condemn to failure, even that attention must mean something. Even that attention must, coming from such an inexplicitly awesome Deity, impregnate you with enough magical stuff, energy, light or whatever it took to give birth to ALL that Is- to find success in this small endeavor. Yes, Big to you, but in comparison to a Universe that cannot be measured-small. No, this does not appear to be sound logic. You must be successful if you can manage to believe in your own success. The Creator of all that is magnificent could not, even if She tried, create small beings without enough power to ignite their own aspirations, with life."

So I must, if I believe even with the faith at least the size of a mere mustard seed, succeed. My feelings, therefore, are not barometers of truth. I am.

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self  Ageless

2/4/14 blog:

I have never thought much about age. When I was growing up, birthdays were of no significance in our household. You received a card and a lovely note inside and that was it. No one spoke about age. There was no- "when I was your age," or "you are old enough to know better," ever uttered. I recall my mother forgetting her age when asked by a friend how old she was. And so after I passed all the important marks for a kid- turning 18 and graduating from high school, turning 21 and being able to drink- I too, forgot about age.

I am told that I don't look my age, in fact, ever since turning 30; I would hear that more often than not. But now I am no longer thirty and perhaps because I don't look my age, but apparently have enough wisdom to give a person pause- I am asked my age quite often. At one point it seemed I was being stalked by people who seemed "age crazy". The more I tried to avoid them, the more I'd meet these people and once in conversation, the harder I tried to evade answering when asked, the more assertive they became- asking me 3, 4 or even 5 times, what age I was!

Soon, I became one of those "age crazy" people as well. No, I didn't care about anyone else's age, but I began thinking of mine all the time. Yet, somehow I knew it was all simply a hoax. Age couldn't be real, I knew this for certain, but it sure seemed real. Why can't age be real, you may wonder? Well, age can't be real because I've met adult men who behaved as though they were 19, and I've met teenagers who were diagnosed with diabetes or high blood pressure. In other words, I would see youthful tendencies in mature people, and age related diseases in immature people- so that blew the whole hard fast reality of age out of the window for me.

So, I've decided to start a movement. And this movement is for anyone who knows they are younger than the number attributed to them, or wiser than the number attributed to them. This movement is for people who want to be free and just be. This idea I have that we are ageless is for those who really find it ridiculous that we feel there is a correlation between the earth's orbit around the sun and our life. It is for those who wonder why this wondrous celestial body's orbit dictates when we are supposed to be ready for a child or when our bones should- if ever, begin to ache. This movement is for those who know that there is something wrong with people who get to a place in their lives where they no longer look forward to next year and begin speaking about "the good ole' days". Yes, this movement is for you if you have decided not to die before you are dead, and have decided that no number is going to kick you to the finish line as though your best days are behind you.

At every stage of life there is something gorgeous about you. At every stage of life there is something you have gained that is remarkable. Keep going to the gym, enjoy those fresh vegetables and breathe in the tantalizing breeze because the best is yet to come, and when someone asks your age, tell them you are the "age of the living!"

The Story behind:

Free Falling Into Your Higher Self

I wrote a book called Free Falling Into Your Higher Self. I wanted to share my journey and fascination with the idea that we are creators and were fashioned with the actual ability to give birth to our ideas. Since I was a child I viewed life creatively and at an early age had to learn how to change my perceptions so that my reality would feel less harsh and therefore more manageable. Some might call this playing games and I would agree, yet I would add a caveat, and that is, all of life is a game.

It is exactly the mindset that won't allow change, that won't allow itself to, with plasticity, view life that ends up bruised and enslaved by the prison of its own unrelenting perimeters. We believe in adulthood and with that comes this idea that we just have to accept things and press on. Yet wouldn't it be a far better life to accept the moment, but only because we are so hopeful that we will do something, think something, or make something happen so that the moment changes- eventually?

There are many facets of manifesting life. Some of the dynamics are provable, like say, for instance, if you believe in an idea, you tend to find that idea showing up in your experiences. Research can prove that we tend to see what we expect to see. This is wonderful if we use it to our advantage, and devastating when we use it without awareness. When we see what we expect but take no ownership of our role, we believe what we see and think this situation is happening to us, instead of acknowledging our co-partnership and thus our potential power to change things.

There are other aspects of manifesting life that are not provable, at least not in scientific terms. Science is coming close to proving many of these ideas or theories, but I suppose those things spiritual can never fully comply with a life that is too small to contain its infinite nature. How could it? Some of the things that we cannot fully prove is that the imagination is the womb for ideas. The imagination is that place where the unseen gestates and is slowly "fleshed" out. We can't prove this, but everything you see, yes, look around right now, everything you see, all of this was once an imagining inside someone's head. Another idea or theory that can't be fully proven is that we can attract into our experience by way of thinking and feeling, situations, money, health and anything else in the experiential world. We can't yet prove this, but science can tell you that your thoughts are electro-magnetic in nature. You might wonder why your thoughts would have the power of electricity and the drawing effects of magnetism if your thoughts weren't supposed to "have the power to attract" their content, or what it is the thoughts are thinking. Yet this is science flirting with infinity and hoping infinity will lift its skirt and show a bit of leg. I doubt this will happen. Instead science, you, I and the rest of humanity will have to stop flirting with greatness and be bold enough to ask for its hand and make the union official.

Living Without Boundaries...

Our mind is akin to a territory. This territory is either expansive and vast or it is broken up into states. Each state has its own laws and boundaries, and some states are at war with other states. For instance if you were taught that wealthy people are selfish and superficial, you will find it very difficult to attract a career that pays you a very generous salary. Or perhaps you don't believe that there are any good women left in this world, and if this is your belief, you will find yourself meeting women who reflect your cynicism.

If your desire in life is to fulfill your most cherished dreams, you will have to emancipate some of the states within your mind whose values and "worldviews" hinder your goals and aspirations. Letting go of limiting beliefs is sometimes as simple as noticing them, but others don't go away as easily. With those stubborn beliefs, you may have to simply repeat to yourself a thousand times that belief that you would prefer to have. Now be careful that you don't simply tell yourself that this particular thing isn't so, you need to be more proactive and actually replace that old limiting belief with the one you now wish to hold. There are many ways to change your perceptions and create a higher awareness. In my book I go into more detail about how you can effectively eliminate barriers from your consciousness, but the two methods mentioned here are a very good start and in many instances, will give you successful results.

In my book Free Falling Into Your Higher Self, I discuss how there was a time in man's history when we were without language. When we were without language there were no definitions that labeled you as smart or not smart, wealthy, beautiful, black, white or red. We were, and that was that. We were life, we were alive and we were here to live as bountiful as possible. This is our truth, and once we get back to this undefined manner of living, all things become possible because there aren't any opposing definitions to challenge your new 'worldview'.

What is it that you would like to be or have? When you think of what this element is, next think of what prevents it from becoming realized. When you determine what it is that creates a barrier, realize that this barrier is a definition that was generated. It's not real even though it feels real. But if feels real because you think of it as real, yet thinking a thing does not make it so. You can easily come to believe it is not real, and in time it will fade like the bogeyman underneath your childhood bed. What many have to realize is that life is creative and thinking is a creative endeavor. You aren't just to think and feel stuck with your thoughts as though you haven't a choice to change them. You certainly do have a choice to change them! In fact, that is the object to being alive. You are here to use your mind to create. You are here to create your personal kingdom, and every religious book tells you that this kingdom is to be spectacular. So think big and get rid of every barrier that would render your kingdom small and unspectacular.

Imagination, the womb of creation...

The imagination is that psychological element within us all, which is rarely paid attention to, and given even less respect than the acknowledgment received. In fact, in school, it is that place where children go, but are told not to. How many have heard a teacher telling a student to stop day dreaming? If you haven't heard this personally, you have no doubt heard of it occurring. Even as an adult you are reprimanded for having a "wild imagination", or for "living too much in your head".

But think on this- the imagination may very well be the only place worth visiting. The imagination is that place within us which like a womb, gestates life and gives it form and thus existence. The imagination is that place where "gods" go to create worlds that one day, become external. Just like a baby lives first within, gaining strength and mass so that it can exist in the world we all recognize. The womb of a woman is the physical twin to the inner mind, the noncorporeal vessel, called the imagination.

Think of these phrases and ask yourself what do they have in common, and where does the activity these phrases refer to, exist? "As you sow, so shall you reap", "As your faith, so be it unto you", "As a man thinketh, so is He", "Your faith can only take you as far as your vision allows." I ask you, where do you sow if not in your imagination, where does your faith live, except in a place that believes in what it can not see or touch? And where does a man think, where is the mind, in other words, for the mind is not the organ we call the brain? And lastly, where does the vision of life reside? All of these activities are the activity of the imagination. That place that sees what no human sight rests upon, that place that hears what no earthly ears record, this is the realm of the imagination. It is the realm where "gods" create, large or small, good or bad, for this place judges not, it is the womb that gives birth in spite of the infirmities cast into its mold. The imagination is the non-corporeal womb that gestates images, thoughts and feelings and just like an embryo grows with the multiplying of billions of cells, so do your images, thoughts and feelings accumulate what is needed to become externalized into the world of form.

The secret to creating, is to feel it is already so. This is called faith; you must feel something is so, to have faith in it, for if you do not feel it, you can not believe it. When you think of whatever it is you want to experience, you must find a way to feel this thing, you must see in your mind that you have this that you want, and sense how you would feel to have this thing, this achievement, this state or what have you. When you feel the experience of having, you are allowing your imagination to flesh out your vision. The more you feel that you have attained this thing, the greater the depth of feeling that it lives somewhere in some place beyond the external. When the feeling becomes ecstatic, you know that the imagination is heavily impregnated. The time of its birth, however, is for the Universe to determine~

How to successfully achieve your New Years goals- this time....

It is finally the New Year, and it is tradition to devise a goal for which we strive with every means to achieve. Yet something goes wrong for many of us as the goal created with such meaning and hopefulness, dissolves like the winter that becomes lost in the warmth of the approaching spring.

I suppose if we understood why we allow our goals to dissolve it would cease to be such a common experience. So, I thought to discuss why it occurs, since knowledge truly is the power that transforms everything in the world and above it. There are many reasons why we don't achieve our goals, and to this you say, "really? Like I didn't know that!" But the core reason is perhaps something you do not suspect, and the seeds of our discontentment will always be a lack of passion towards ourselves. Yes, we don't love ourselves enough to have that fire that burns in our bellies, and without that fire, there isn't enough coal to cook your goals into an experience you can then sink your teeth into.

Here is a question to ask yourselves, do you feel that way about you that compares to those feelings you experienced when you meet a hot, intelligent lover that sends your head spinning? You see, if you don't feel that kind of passion about yourself, you are missing something, and my first question would be to ask you why? Why aren't you crazy about yourself? I can guess why, yes, I don't know you, it's true. But life is all an equation, and when it comes down to it, 1+1 really does equal 2, and it doesn't matter if you are here on earth, or on Venus, 1+1 will always, always equal 2. So the reason you aren't crazy about yourself is because you are waiting "to arrive". You are waiting to earn your own approval, you are waiting to get over feeling weak or abused, or waiting to become so impressive to yourself that finally you think- yes, now I deserve to love myself. But, you've got it all wrong.

The way you love a child, and I am assuming you aren't crazy here, but the way you love a child is the way you should love yourself. You love a child simply because, right? The child isn't as bright as you, isn't as impressive, is weak and can't run as fast as you, and certainly most children don't add any zeros to your bank account. The child does nothing to earn your love, but still you love in fact, you adore that precious being. And you love this precious being because for some reason, you get it. You get that they are- very simply put, precious for no reason other than, because they are. Well, so are you. Are you connecting the dots here? Because I am trying to tell you that you are a child as well. Yes, you may be a very tall child, you may be a child that has been here for nearly or perhaps even longer than a century, but you are still a child. You still haven't, compared to the annals of time, even made a dent in eternity. Seriously, there are parakeets older than you, yes? But here's another reason to love yourself even if you don't buy into the "child" theory, then love yourself because you can. If you endeavor to fall in love with yourself you can. For you can let go of your expectations and with a little arrogance simply say, "dam it, I'm going to love me because I'm here, I'm alive, and whatever created me, must have thought it a worthy expenditure!" So who am I to disagree?"

Just do it, in other words. Look in the mirror and whatever is nice, hold on to that and milk it, observe your skills, and where ever your talent, embrace it right where it is. Find every little morsel of beauty and uniqueness and allow that to be enough. Forget about comparing yourself to others, forget about how beauty, strength and success is defined, forget about everyone aside from yourself and create your own parameters. Or better yet, have no parameters at all, and simply be "crazy" about yourself! Happy New Year!
