Your Holy Grail
There is at least one thing that most of us agree on, and that is this, if you can believe it with all your heart, whatever "it" is, happens, is manifested, becomes your experience. The difficulty is, how can we believe in some things? Sure, we can believe in this or that, but there are always areas or certain goals that we find it difficult to embrace with our mind and soul.
There are some who, when they cannot believe in something, simply chalk it up to the assumption that 'it just can't happen, then'. Through no fault of their own, it is perhaps that this type of person just isn't creative enough to 'play with her/his mind and configure their thoughts so that they can now believe in that which initially they could not. After, however, you decide, okay, I need to try to believe in this, the battle may not be so simple. It can be a daunting task searching with some bemusement over what is just the right path that combines faith and reason with that perfect winning combination.
I have a few suggestions for you if you find yourself in this predicament. One thing is this, your nervous system cannot tell the difference between vividly imagined thoughts and reality. First of all, that should astound most of you if you take the time to consider the ramifications of this. Maxwell Maltz, M.D., author of Psycho-Cybernetics, states "Successful men and women have, since the beginning of time, used "mental pictures" and rehearsal practice" to achieve success...Mental pictures offer us an opportunity to practice new traits and attitudes... because your nervous system cannot tell the difference between an actual experience and one that is vividly imagined ... picturing ourselves performing in a certain manner is nearly the same as the actual performance." So if you imagine something, or think something enough, your subconscious mind will begin to believe it and/or act as though it is real. What I am saying is that sometimes we just have to convince our subconscious minds to embrace a goal and voila, the goal becomes attainable.
But there are other times when we have the "reason" component, but not the faith component. In other words, you know that you can save up enough money to buy this investment property, but your fear whispers scenarios of never acquiring tenants, or acquiring only the kinds of tenants that won't pay rent, and then you catapult into failure and, oh my God, bankruptcy! Yes, sometimes our fears are a bit dramatic. When you lack the faith component it is often because living in a world that serves man and the laws of man, we have been convinced there is no law higher than that of man's. The unseen, the miraculous, the mysterious rarely get any commercial time on TV or even in our own heads. For this precise reason, we have to combat this fact by giving the miraculous and the mysterious some commercial time, right? We have to meditate on those spiritual ideals that we would like to believe in, but don't. This is called re-programming, or halting the inertia of a life lived without Soul, to one lived with the Soul's intervention and mysterious ways. So, you begin with this, what do you believe or wish you believed? Do you believe that there is a God that showers all blessings upon you? Do you believe that all possibilities are mathematically feasible, and so all goals and aspirations, like a math equation, stand a chance at being realized? Do you believe in the philosophy of continual addition? Meaning, if you consistently pursue a particular direction you gain more and more energy, or mass or some kind of momentum which ends with the culmination of whatever the purpose the direction intended upon? What line of reasoning do you find makes more sense to you? Maybe your line of reasoning wasn't mentioned here, so you have to figure it out later.
The point is, when you find that particular venue of belief, you have found your particular holy grail, that key that opens the door to the womb that gives birth to all your imaginings. You see life is best lived by those who think, though there is a lot to be gained by giving it to God, or surrendering it to the Universe. But in the final analysis, those who think find their thoughts, like crumbs upon a path, spread out before them as they journey through life. Choose your thoughts wisely and like a farmer, tend to them frequently.
